Some people do not have to search – they find their niche early in life and rest there, seemingly contented and resigned. They do not seem to ask much of life, sometimes they do not seem to take it seriously. At times I envy them, but usually I do not understand them – seldom do they understand me. I am one of the searchers. There are, I believe, millions of us. We are not unhappy, but neither are we really content. We continue to explore life, hoping to uncover its ultimate secret. We continue to explore ourselves, hoping to understand. We like to walk along the beach, we are drawn by the ocean, taken by its power, its unceasing motion, its mystery and unspeakable beauty. We like forests and mountains, deserts and hidden rivers, and the lonely cities as well. Our sadness is as much a part of our lives as is our laughter. To share our sadness with one we love is perhaps as great a joy as we can know – unless it be to share our laughter. We searchers are ambitious only for life itself, for everything beautiful it can provide. Most of all we love and want to be loved. We want to live in a relationship that will not impede our wandering, nor prevent our search, nor lock us in prison walls; that will take us for what little we have to give. We do not want to prove ourselves to another or compete for love.
The Rules for Being Human
1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for the entire period this time around.
2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time, informal school called life. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant and stupid.
3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial and error, experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiment that ultimately “works.”
4. A lesson is repeated until it is learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it you can go on to the next lesson.
5. Learning lessons does not end. There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned.
6. “There” is no better than “here.” When your “there” has become a “here,” you will simply obtain another “there” that will, again, look better than “here.”
7. Others are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.
8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have the all the tools and resources you need; what you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.
9. The answers lie inside you. The answers to life’s questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.
10. You will forget all this.

You have plans? Great. You hear life quotes all the time, but these are the ones that stick. (In my humble opinion)
Live each day like it’s your last, plan as if your gonna live forever. yada yada yada, This one I have come to appreciate the best:
“Write your future in detail all you want, just be sure to use a pencil with an eraser.”
What is the difference between a thought and a word spoken in seclusion?
…nothing! The thought was simply strong enough to manifest the word.
Hott Wings. French Fries. & Sleep!
Every since last May (2009) -while in deliberation of my 3rd run across the country- a conversation is had with -who seems- like a big brother to me. Out of no where, are his calls with valid points, kinda like Robert Horray in 4th quater. His insight from the outside in IS exactly what I need to release from the inside-out. The things I know better, but don’t act on, he always calls me out on. An all I can do is smh and agree. It seems like our convo are me saying: ‘Tru’. ‘Yep’. ‘I know right’. (and not in that order)
So much is credited to these talks and I grow increasingly wiser with each one. Where would my running be without these talk? Would I even still be consider running? One things for sure, I have no regrets of any time of day or opportunity to growth in mu mental, during my conversations with JAH!
Thanks Boss!

…and sleep! But don’t judge me, it’ll only be for 2 days!!! I feel deserving.lol
So after my run today, we all agreed it would be a great idea to get some rest & relaxation and took an impromptu trip to Virginia Beach. Good times. Allot of people.
We all needed it as we get close to closing out Hope or Die. An even though the 300 mile off-route trip took forever, it was well worth it to take the time to relax, reflect and kick my feet up.
